Stand still a while…

Sometimes, the hardest thing to do is nothing…

often we are in such a rush.. doing this.. and doing that.. it’s a fast-paced world out there!!! but how often do we just stand a while, listening to what our heavenly Fathers wants to say to us?? I wonder how many wonderful opportunities we end up missing by trying to keep up with everyone around us in this fast-paced life…

As I am reading 1 Samuel 9:1-27, I read about Saul, his background and how he meets Samuel… Saul is from the tribe of Benjamin, the smallest of the tribes.. yet God chooses him for His plan…

towards the end of the chapter, Samuel says to Saul (1 Samuel 9:27) ‘bid the servant pass on before us, (and he passed on,) but stand though still a while, that I may shew thee the word of God’

Sometimes, we have to be intentional about listening… let the others go before us, do not rush after them… Stand still, listen to what God has for you… listen for what we may have been praying for; blessings, that we may be waiting for; they could be something we find in those quiet moments… the moments when we allow God to take control.. when we freefall and allow for the Lord to move in our lives!!

Thank you Jesus for supplying everything that we may need! You equip us daily, making us ready for anything that may come up… Lord you are mighty and wonderful!!! Who can know your ways???
